Willingness to donate in Austria is stagnating at just under a billion euros

Austria remains generous. Last year, 1.07 billion euros were donated in this country, as the current donation report from the Austrian Fundraising Association shows. For the second time in a row, a slight decline was recorded – compared to 2023, 0.5 percent less donations were made. In view of multiple crises and a certain “fatigue” within the population, this is still a positive result, explains the association’s managing director Ruth Williams. “We are grateful that people in Austria show such solidarity, despite high prices and inflation,” said Williams on Wednesday.
