Boyce Avenue reveals behind-the-scenes of Fifth Harmony’s formation on “X Factor”

The lead singer of the group Boyce Avenue, Alejandro Manzano, revealed in an interview with CNN details about her behind-the-scenes participation in the formation of Fifth Harmony, a girl group that appeared on the reality show “The X Factor USA”.

The story began when he noticed that participants on “The X Factor UK” frequently referenced the band’s cover versions. “Each week they picked a new song to perform, and a lot of them were based on our versions, like ‘Teenage Dream,'” the band explained.

Special invitation

When Cowell decided to take the program’s format to the United States, he invited Boyce Avenue to assist in the formation and preparation of participating groups.

The first contact with the future members of the group took place in Miami, in a hotel room. At the time, the artists had done individual auditions for the program, before being united to form the group.

Boyce Avenue’s experience with covers and musical arrangements was instrumental in the early development of Fifth Harmony, which would later become one of the most popular girl groups to emerge from reality television.
