This Monday, the Mértola Biological Station hosted the 6th meeting of the Advisory Council for Integrated Territorial Investment (ITI) Water and Landscape Ecosystems, with the majority of its members participating in person and remotely.
The session included the presentation of the status of applications submitted to the Algarve 2030 and Alentejo 2030 Regional Programs, by representatives of the Management Authorities, as well as the planned schedule for new applications, presented by the coordinators of the respective working groups. A joint reflection was also promoted on the processes already submitted and on the expectations regarding the opening of the Thematic Marketing and Training Notices.

One of the highlights was the update of applications for Governance Notices. In Alentejo, the application has already been submitted and reported by CCDR Alentejo, developed in conjunction with the Local Development Associations (ADL) with territorial competence.
In the Algarve, informed that the candidacy is in the final stage of preparation and will be presented by the end of the deadline, in December, by the ADL and the regional entity itself.
During the work, the Transformative Laboratory (TIPL) Water – Dialogue for Innovation methodology, developed within the scope of the European program Interreg Euro-Mediterranean (Interreg EuroMed), was also presented. This participatory tool, already applied in Catalonia and Emilia-Romagna, aims to deepen territorial dialogue and identify innovative solutions for water and ecosystem management.
In the afternoon, the methodology was applied to the territory of ITI Water and Landscape Ecosystems, allowing for deeper reflection on the relevance of water for the functioning of ecosystems and the importance of proximity management in the successful implementation of this integrated territorial investment.
