Dortmund celebrates the tallest Christmas tree in the world… but Ermesinde surpasses the mark

The German city of Dortmund once again attracted hundreds of people to the usual lighting ceremony of its imposing Christmas tree, named by local authorities as the tallest in the world. 45 meters high and with around 138 thousand LED lights, this structure has been built every year since 1996 and is the big star of the Christmas market, being one of the city’s main visiting points this festive season.

However, in Portugal, more precisely in Ermesinde, there is a tree that surpasses the size of its German counterpart. Installed in the Urban Park, in the city center, this Christmas tree reaches 55 meters in height and stands out for its thousands of LED lights that create visual games of great impact, transforming it into a true luminous spectacle.

The Portuguese structure has established itself as one of the biggest Christmas attractions, winning over visitors due to its grandeur and the visual experience provided throughout the night.
