Police officers at the cadastre of Strečno stopped and checked the driver under the influence of drugs. A man was wanted for taking his wife’s vehicle near an elementary school in the Martin district, in which their common child was located. A police check revealed that the spouses are in divorce proceedings and the vehicle is their joint property. The Žilina Regional Police reported about it on the social network.
The driver took a breath test for alcohol with a negative result. “However, an orientation test for the ingestion of other addictive substances was positive for methamphetamine, on the basis of which blood sampling was ordered,” the police pointed out, saying that during the inspection, the driver voluntarily handed over a plastic bag and paper puzzles containing a white crystalline substanceas well as other matters related to drug crime.
The police confiscated the man’s driver’s license, restricted his personal freedom, and the mother took the minor child. The police are investigating this incident criminal prosecution on suspicion of committing the offense of unauthorized possession of a narcotic and psychotropic substance.
