  • 500 g of minced pork and beef
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 1 egg
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 teaspoons of spicy mustard
  • 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika
  • salt, pepper
  • 200 g sera cheddar
  • 500 g mushrooms
  • half a teaspoon of thyme
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • a spoonful of balsamic vinegar

How to prepare lumberjack cutlets?

  1. Chop the onion finely and fry in a pan. Set aside to cool. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, mix the minced meat, egg, mustard, breadcrumbs, pressed garlic and fried onion. Season with salt, pepper and smoked paprika. Mix everything thoroughly. If the mixture is too thin, add breadcrumbs.
  2. Form 8 medium-sized balls from the mixture and place them on a baking tray. Flatten each ball to create a small indentation in the center.
  3. Fry the sliced ​​mushrooms in a small amount of fat until golden brown. At the end of frying, add salt, pepper, thyme and balsamic vinegar. Fry for a while.
  4. Place the mushrooms in the cavities of the cutlets. Sprinkle generously with grated yellow cheese. Bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius for about 30 minutes.

Serve the lumberjack cutlets warm. That’s when they taste the best. You can arrange a bouquet of vegetables on the plate next to it: lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers or other favorite additions.
