St. Andrew’s Day For many people, it is an opportunity to organize a social gathering full of fortune telling and good food. A tasty treat is one of the most important elements of a successful party. One of the dishes that is worth preparing then is salad with chicken and yellow cheese. What will you need to prepare it? Here’s the list ingredients:

  • 500 g chicken breast;
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil;
  • 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika powder;
  • 1 teaspoon of oregano;
  • 0.5 teaspoon of granulated garlic;
  • 150 g of grated yellow cheese (for example Gouda);
  • half of iceberg lettuce;
  • 1 tomato;
  • 0.5 red onion;
  • 2 large pickled cucumbers;
  • 4 tablespoons of mayonnaise;
  • 4 tablespoons of natural yogurt;
  • 2 tablespoons of ketchup;
  • 1 tablespoon of pickled cucumber juice;
  • salt and pepper.

If we expect a larger number of guests, it is worth using double the above ingredients.

Recipe for a filling salad with chicken and yellow cheese it’s not complicated. Just follow the steps below:

  1. First, cut the chicken into cubes. Season with paprika, oregano, garlic, salt and pepper. Add two tablespoons of olive oil and mix thoroughly.
  2. Fry the chicken in a pan for a few minutes until it turns nice and golden. Place it in a large bowl and then sprinkle the still hot meat with grated yellow cheese.
  3. Now we start preparing the vegetables. Chop the salad and cut the tomato, onion and cucumber into small cubes. We throw everything into a separate bowl and mix.
  4. Combine mayonnaise with natural yogurt, ketchup and cucumber water. We can season the sauce with salt and pepper for additional flavor. Pour half of the sauce on top of the cheese covering the meat, and then fill it all with vegetables. Pour the second part of the sauce on top. The salad is ready. After putting it on a plate, it is worth sprinkling it with grated Gouda.
