Exactly a year ago – on November 27th – the Lebanese Hezbollah declared “victory” against Israel as part of the ceasefire agreement. But their demonstrative celebratory mood had little to do with reality. The Israeli army quickly destroyed the militia, which was classified as a terrorist group in the West and which had opened another front against Israel shortly after the outbreak of the Gaza war: In the process, the entire leadership of Hezbollah was more or less eliminated and a significant part of its rocket capacities were destroyed.
