A Bahia Civil Police arrested, on the morning of this Thursday (27), one of the leaders of the criminal organization BDM (Bonde dos Malucos) in a condominium in Campos dos Goytacazes, in the North of Rio de Janeiro. The suspect, linked to drug trafficking and associated with TCP, was located at Condomínio Recanto das Palmeiras during . The action was supported by the Rio de Janeiro Civil Police, through the 134th DP (Campos dos Goytacazes).
Coordinated by the Specialized Department of Investigation and Repression of Drug Trafficking (Denarc), the offensive aims to dismantle a strategic nucleus of drug trafficking involved in drug trafficking, extortion and money laundering. In total, 25 search and seizure warrants were executed and 15 arrests were made in the states of Bahia, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Paraná and São Paulo.
During the operation, teams seized jewelry valued at around R$1 million, as well as cell phones, cash, documents, drugs and a firearm.
The investigation also determined the freezing of assets and values associated with the criminal group. Cars, a jet ski, a stud farm with race horses valued at approximately R$3 million and a solar energy plant estimated at around R$1 million were blocked. The measures affect accounts and investments linked to 26 CPFs and CNPJs, potentially exceeding R$100 million.
The operation mobilized 220 civil police officers from specialized units, intelligence sectors and territorial teams. According to the police, the simultaneous greetings allowed investigations into the organization’s interstate activities to advance. Of the 15 arrests, 11 took place in Bahia, two in Caruaru (PE), one in Paraná and one in Rio de Janeiro, referring to the suspect detained in Campos.
Operation Rainha do Sul involves units such as Draco, DHPP, DIP, DEIC, Depom and DPMCV, in addition to the Polinter, CORE and COPJ coordinations. Also participating are the Department of Technical Police, the Investigation Service of the Secretariat of Public Security of Bahia, the Secretariat of Penitentiary Administration and Resocialization and the Civil Police of the states involved.
