Fernando Madureira leads the Porto Super Dragões cheer squad.

This Thursday, the Public Security Police (PSP) carried out around 15 home searches related to an investigation into assaults and theft, including at the home of Fernando Madureira, from Super Dragões.
Madureira, known as “Macaco”, is currently in preventive detention within the scope of Operation Praetorian, but these measures refer to facts prior to his arrest, which occurred in January 2024.
The operations, conducted by the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) of the Porto PSP, took place in Gaia, Porto, Santa Maria da Feira and other locations in the North region.
According to the statement, no arrests are planned, with the main objective being to collection of evidence relating to suspected attacks on physical integrity and theft.
The investigation originated from an alleged investment-related scam financial. Some elements of the Super Dragons have convinced victims to invest certain amounts by promising high returns. When the results did not correspond to what was announced, the two parties scheduled a meeting to discuss the situation.
According to the investigation, it was during this meeting, which took place near the Estádio do Dragão, that around 15 individuals allegedly attacked the victims and stole some of his belongings. Authorities believe that Fernando Madureira was present at the scene.
The size of the group and the violence of the events led the PSP and the Public Ministry to open a specific investigation into the alleged crimes of aggression and robbery.
The alleged financial fraud remains under investigation, but in a separate process. The searches carried out this Thursday focus only on facts associated with the assaults and subsequent robbery.
Among the material sought will be stolen objects, communications records, electronic devices and other elements that can consolidate the victims’ narrative and identify individual responsibilities within the group.
It is reported that authorities are specifically looking for a luxury watch that has been stolen.
