Bolsonaro completes seven days in prison this Friday (28); remember the week

Former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) completes this Friday (28) On Saturday (22), he left house arrest and was preventively detained in a closed regime. Three days later, on Tuesday (25), the STF (Supreme Federal Court) declared the action for attempted coup d’état final and determined that Bolsonaro should start serving the sentence.

According to the complaint, the former president led a criminal organization focused on a coup d’état, organized attacks on the polls and incited military intervention. It would also have used State structures, such as PRF (Federal Highway Police) and Abin (Brazilian Intelligence Agency), to interfere in the electoral process and disseminate false information.

Allies would have financed coup camps and sought support from the Armed Forces to keep the then president in power. The investigations also point to the preparation of a coup draft and the “Green and Yellow Dagger” plan, which envisaged assassinations of authorities.

The others convicted in the case are also arrested, except for deputy Alexandre Ramagem, who is on the run in the United States.

According to the minutes released by the Court, the former president said he had reflux, sleep apnea, took five medications and needed specialized nutrition, with a report already attached to the case file.

Bolsonaro received a visit from another son, councilor Jair Renan Bolsonaro (PL-SC). His wife, Michelle, was also allowed to visit him.

Former first lady Michelle Bolsonaro used social media to express dissatisfaction with the reduced visit time of 30 minutes.

“I just arrived to see my love. While I wait for Renan to finish his time, I rest in God. On the first visit, I was with him for two hours; today, just 30 minutes”, wrote Michelle. The president of PL Mulher also stated that, despite the difficulties, “the heart remains at peace, because the Lord remains in control of everything”.
