Bolsonaro reports health problems and medication use – 11/27/2025 – Brasília Hoje

The former president () said, during his custody hearing, this Wednesday (26), via videoconference, that he has reflux and sleep apnea and needs specialized nutrition.

He also stated that he uses five medications, in a statement to the assistant judge in the office of the minister of the (Supreme Federal Court), Flávia Martins de Carvalho.

Bolsonaro added that he had not previously responded to criminal proceedings and did not point out any abuse or irregularity on the part of the police authorities responsible for executing the arrest warrant.

After the statement, the (Attorney General’s Office) expressed its opinion that the former president’s arrest was regular and the judge approved the execution of the arrest warrant. His lawyers did not ask questions, according to the hearing minutes.

On Tuesday (25), Moraes decided to keep Bolsonaro at the PF’s regional headquarters and officially sentenced the former president to 27 years and 3 months in prison.

Bolsonaro will be imprisoned at the PF in the so-called General Staff room, a space where he does not interact with other inmates and where there is greater comfort than in a prison. The current structure is a 12 m² room, with television, air conditioning, private bathroom and a desk.

Moraes also decided that the former president must receive full-time medical care, on duty, and that the medical team’s access to Bolsonaro must be guaranteed regardless of judicial authorization.
