This Thursday (27/11), Cristiano Ronaldo officially announced that he has become a shareholder of WOW FC, the Spanish MMA organization, joining UFC champion Ilia Topuria as a partner. He justified the movement by saying that MMA represents values with which he identifies, such as discipline, respect, resilience and the constant search for excellence.
With that, the question remains: will CR7 fight in the category? What will he do in the MMA organization? Sporting News shows.

CR7 at WOW FC
According to WOW FC itself, Cristiano Ronaldo’s arrival is part of a new stage of global expansion: the league, which has already grown a lot in the last year (audience attendance increased by more than 400%, events with more than 5 thousand people and broadcasts to more than 170 countries), hopes to use CR7’s “weight” to boost the visibility of MMA, especially in Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
The organization says his role will be “organic and active,” which suggests commercial and strategic participation — but does not imply that he will fight.

So far there has been no statement or announcement that Ronaldo will wear gloves, enter the Octagon or compete in fights. The official information is only that he will be a “shareholder and partner” — that is: investor/collaborator, not an athlete.
His entry represents more of an investment movement and crossing of worlds — football, business and MMA — than a career transition.
I’m excited to share some big news: I will become a shareholder of @wowfcmma! We share values I truly believe in – discipline, respect, resilience, and the constant pursuit of excellence.
