Good taste zone Four breakfast rolls and a Georgian feast for PLN 4,500. What did we order in 2025?

The classics are still going strong

Poles are exceptionally devoted to their favorites, and their beloved comfort food will probably not fall out of favor for a long time. In the duel for first place in the ranking of the most popular delivery dishes, the thin-crust kebab won again. Right behind it was the cheeseburger, and the podium was taken by the Margherita pizza. However, when we look more broadly – at the categories of dishes – it turns out that pizza wins over kebabs in the fight for our hearts (and stomachs).

– The analysis of this year’s trends leads to an interesting conclusion: while our culinary tastes are constant – with the strong second position of Polish cuisine at the forefront – the model of using the application is evolving. We are moving from occasional orders to accompanying the user every day – says Arkadiusz Krupicz, co-founder and managing director of Pyszne.pl. – Today, delivery is no longer just a meal, it is a time recovery service. Poles, looking for a balance between work and private life, delegate more and more responsibilities: from preparing breakfast to shopping for groceries. The growing role of the non-food and q-commerce segment on Pyszne.pl is the best proof that convenience has become the priority of the modern consumer.

The best cuisine in the world… according to Poles

The enormous popularity of pizza is accompanied by the triumph of Italian flavors in the general list of the most frequently ordered cuisines. Right behind it proudly stands Polish cuisine – the kind we have known for generations. The top includes pork chop, broth, Russian dumplings, as well as sour rye soup and tomato soup – these dishes will never get boring. This year’s record holder, Pyszne.pl, which placed orders as many as 705 times, would probably agree to this. The user from Poznań most often chose tomato soup. His habits reflect the behavior of many users: he most often ordered lunch and dinner, and his favorite flavors were Polish and Italian.

A spectacular feast for PLN 4,500

However, a user from Warsaw ate in a completely different style. The order amounted to nearly PLN 4.5 thousand. PLN from a Georgian restaurant was a real festival of grilled specialties: kebabs, lula kebabs made of three types of meat and vegetables, as well as khinkali, khachapuri and cold eggplant appetizers. When someone wants to throw a feast, they don’t have to spend two days in the kitchen – just a few clicks are enough.

A wealth of European and Asian flavors

Poles love Italian cuisine, but thanks to several dishes full of character, they are also more and more willing to choose other European directions. Dutch cuisine made the biggest leap in popularity – Poles liked kapsalon, a variation on the kebab – shawarma and fries baked with cheese, plus a salad and a distinctive sauce. At the same time, our fascination with the flavors of Asia does not diminish. Among the items on the menu, the following have become particularly popular in recent months, including: Hanoi chicken, udon noodles with beef or Thai crispy chicken, which perfectly fit the trend of discovering intense, aromatic dishes.

Average menu

What did the average Pyszne.pl user’s menu look like? He started his morning with toast – so tasty that the number of orders for it doubled in a year. At lunchtime, the courier delivered our favorite classics, i.e. a burger or pizza. We like to spend evenings together, so pizza and fries won. Our appetite is greatest between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Dessert queen of the year

Ice cream with pistachio topping became the biggest sweet hit of the year, and all desserts containing pistachio grew like a weed – by 225% to be precise. Colorful drinks are also becoming very popular for delivery: matcha has tripled in size, and bubble tea has almost doubled in size. However, we do not forget about the traditional delicacies that we know from childhood. In recent months, twice as many orders for blueberry dumplings have been placed than last year.

Record delivery days

Pyszne.pl users placed most orders on Valentine’s Day. Interestingly, Polish cuisine declined significantly at that time, and sushi grew on a scale that could hardly be called a coincidence. The next big day is May 4, a non-trading Sunday right after the May long weekend, when many of us have already emptied the fridge of the last supplies. The third busiest day in terms of the number of deliveries was on Whit Monday.

Not only restaurants

We use Pyszne.pl more and more often as a nearby store. The most common baskets in the app include fruit, vegetables and bread. Banana appears in every fifth order and we usually buy it in packages of three. Kajzerka comes in every tenth form – and we usually add at least five of them. Apart from bananas and breakfast rolls, the products we order in the largest quantities are: tomato, carrot and water.

Bread has become the humble hero of the record for the smallest orders. In Warsaw, someone ordered four breakfast rolls for delivery for PLN 3.96, and the order with delivery cost him PLN 6.74. Minimalism in its purest form – and proof that Pyszne.pl delivers regardless of the scale of needs.

Romanticism in the era of fast deliveries

We order not only food and groceries, but also… flowers. A romantic in Warsaw used Pyszne.pl to send a bouquet of 51 roses with a heart-shaped balloon to a loved one for almost PLN 750. And since, according to data, the most romantic dish is sushi, it is safe to say that roses have competition. People who believe in the principle “from the stomach to the heart” will be interested in the most expensive dish on offer – a sushi set from a popular chain, also worth about PLN 700.
