The Teia D’Impulsos Association was once again recognized by the Employment and Professional Training Institute (IEFP) with the Inclusive Employer Entity Mark seal, a distinction awarded to organizations that promote policies of equal opportunities, accessibility and inclusion. This is the third time that the association has received the award, after awards in 2021 and 2023.
According to the association, this renewal distinguishes “the association’s ongoing work in promoting policies and practices that ensure equal opportunities, accessibility and inclusion, both in its internal functioning and in the impact it generates on the Algarve community”.
Only three distinguished entities in the Algarve
In 2025, 204 entities applied for the seal, with only 77 being distinguished at national level, including three in the Algarve region.
Teia D’Impulsos has reinforced its commitment to inclusion, participating in initiatives such as World Day for Equality – “Inclusion from Theory to Practice” and the seminar “Sports: A Path to Inclusion”.
The association also integrated the ColorADD code into several events, after acquiring a lifetime license in 2023, allowing greater accessibility to people with visual perception disorders.
Structuring projects that promote accessibility and participation
Among the projects developed, the Lota Cool Market stands out, which now includes accessible structures, such as a sales counter adapted for wheelchair users. The Inclusive Arts Festival, created in 2023, provides workshops, a show and an exhibition that brings together works produced during the event, as well as works from various entities in the Algarve, valuing talent and artistic participation as a form of social inclusion.
The ECOS project – Inclusive Dance Workshop, FICA – Inclusive Holidays for the Algarve Community, and HELP – Caregiver Support have also contributed to the well-being, personal development and social integration of the beneficiaries.
Teia D’Impulsos also maintains partnerships with the Eng.º Nuno Mergulhão and Poeta António Aleixo School Groups, through which it hosts curricular internships that promote the integration of young people with special educational needs.
With the award of the seal, it highlights that “its contribution to a more inclusive and equitable community” is recognized, reaffirming inclusion as a structuring element of the mission it has been developing in the Algarve.
