It’s not ideal anywhere! After ending her professional career, Katarína Jakeš Štumpfová developed into a successful entrepreneur with dance. After hosting in Prague, she again brought the dance and theater performance Love2Dance to Bratislava with stars such as Marek Rozkoš and Anna Riebauerová. At the recently dusted premiere, Jakeš oozed satisfaction and even let us into her privacy, which she protects. In the past, it was shaken by turbulence.
Katarína admitted that, on the one hand, she is happy about the success of the show in Prague, but during work trips, her mind still wanders to her loved ones. “Yes, it always breaks my heart when I go to Prague. Although at the moment it’s already established there, so I only go there for two nights a month. But little Brunko is only two years old, so he feels it. It’s not that he misses me, but I miss him very much.” laughs the former dancer, who tries to be with her family as often as possible. “I don’t go to work, but I work from home. So, apart from the few days a month that we play, I really devote myself as much as possible to my children and family,” she added for Jakeš.
Katarína said yes to her husband Boris in December 2016. Although she never admitted disagreements, her marriage was also in trouble during the difficult times of the corona crisis. Since the end of 2020, Jakeš has been staying mainly with her parents, and from the asylum she has been supplying social media with photos without a man. The media speculated about the divorce, and for the next two years this rumor circulated behind the scenes of show business. The breakthrough occurred in 2022 during Katka’s vacation in Thailand. In addition to her daughter Izabelka, her husband also accompanied her there. She did not want to show his face. “Why should I make him show himself when he doesn’t like it?” she objected to catching up fans on the social network. Cloudy over the future together, they finally finally dissipated…
Christmas is just around the corner, and this topic has recently loosened Katarina’s strict tongue. Will she be a Christmas Eve hostess? “We have it divided. My husband is a very good cook. We call him the Christmas expert. He has been playing carols for the children for the whole of December, actually since September, which I don’t accept very well.” laughed Katarína, who admitted that it is also true for them that love goes through the stomach. “Men usually cook so festively because they love it. But yes, my husband is a very good cook, so I always enjoy it.” the businesswoman is happy. She immediately received a tabloid question, how does she repay her beloved for these joys? “What’s wrong with the tabloids? I think we have two children, we have a normal family life, and I pay him back by cooking for him,” Jakeš winked with satisfaction.
Speaking of which, with their two children, do they and their husband even have time to go on parenting dates? And what should it be? “Jesus, above all let there be silence and peace. As this is probably what I miss the most in my life. Stopping in time and that’s so common,” said Katka. The theory is mastered, what about the application in practice?
“So we’re going into the big family details. At the moment, our life as a partner is somehow not fulfilled in that regard. We simply don’t leave small children. We love them and we don’t consider that now we have to pull away in order to experience something together.” revealed Koktejla Katarína, who says that they are going through a period together with small children, who want to enjoy themselves together and want to experience everything with the little ones. “They are a part of us, and when they no longer need us, we will still have enough time for ourselves,” Jakeš told us.
At the end, Katarína returned to the Love2Dance show and answered the question, how is a Czech viewer different from a Slovak one? “They warned us that the Czechs are cooler in the theater and we shouldn’t expect a standing ovation. But, thank God, that never happened and the Czechs really love this project. I have to say that I didn’t even expect it to catch on in Prague and I’m proud of the whole team.” she revealed to Koktejla that they have a great mover in Prague – actor Vladimír Polívka. “And we are thinking that we will also attract him to Slovakia,” she promised.
