At 11:35 pm this Thursday (27), there were no supporters of the former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) on vigil in front of the Superintendency of the PF (Federal Police) in Brasília — a rare sight to see since he was arrested on Saturday (22).
Groups of Bolsonaro supporters have been meeting over the last few days on the median in front of the PF, in the South Police Sector, at the end of Asa Sul. Shortly after the arrest, it was possible to see up to 40 people in the area during the day.
They usually carry signs, wear green and yellow, and ask drivers on the street to honk their horns in support. There are those who honk their horns in response, but there are also those who “tell them to work” and those who criticize the former president, saying that he is serving a sentence for crimes against democracy. Many still criticize Bolsonaro’s stance during the Covid-19 pandemic.
. Arguments had to be broken up by military police officers.
Groups of supporters continue to appear during the day at the PF. At night, it is natural for the amount to decrease. But, for the first time, this Thursday — almost dawn on Friday (28) —, the report noted the absence of supporters.
On a pole, a poster even said “Bolsonaro, we are with you”.
Thursday in the federal capital was quite rainy, with the temperature dropping throughout the night. The last group of three men remaining at the scene left at around 11:30 pm.
Only journalists and film reporters remained, on duty.
