The senator Marcelo Castro (MDB) leads the scenarios in a possible dispute for re-election for Piauí in 2026, according to research by the Real Time Big Data institute released this Friday (28).
Next year, the Legislative House will renew 2/3 of its seats, electing two parliamentarians per state.
In a first scenario, Castro has 29%, followed by the federal deputy Julius Caesar (PSD), with 20%. Afterwards, the senator Ciro Nogueira (PP), reaches 19%. The president of PL in the state, Tiago Junqueiraappears with 11%. The former candidate for mayor of Teresina Francinaldo Leão (PSOL) adds 1%.
In the second scenario, the senator continues to lead with 33%, Júlio Cesar appears with 23%. Tiago Junqueira has 10%. Former state deputy Joel Rodrigues (PP) has 8%. Francinaldo Leão maintains the same 1%.
