Social Security has already released the calendar of benefit and pension payment dates for December, with some payments to be paid in advance due to the Christmas season. The measure allows beneficiaries to better organize their budget and prepare typical expenses for this month.

First payments arrive at the beginning of the month
The first December support starts to be paid on December 3rd, with emphasis on pensions and benefits related to occupational illness. It is one of the first transfers of the month for thousands of beneficiaries.
Two days later, on December 5th, several payments follow simultaneously: income support, regular pensions, Solidarity Supplement for the Elderly, Social Benefit for Inclusion and Reimbursement of Funeral Expenses.
On December 16th, payments of family benefits will be made, as well as the first payment of benefits relating to unemployment, illness, parenthood and social action. This is one of the most intense phases of the calendar.
Last support arrives before Christmas
The Regional Pension Supplement will be paid on December 19th, via bank transfer.
Three days later, on December 22nd, the Social Insertion Income (RSI) arrives, together with the second monthly payment of benefits associated with unemployment, illness, parenthood and social action.
The Informal Caregiver Support Allowance is also paid on the same date, thus ending the December payment cycle.
The anticipation of some dates is due to the need to ensure that the amounts are available before the Christmas period, avoiding delays due to holidays and banking constraints.
