The expectant mother was given 3 ultrasounds on which her baby was supposed to be fine: A devastating mistake! Everything was different

Young Englishwoman Kizzi Woodman (27) lost her unborn son despite the fact that doctors at a private clinic did not detect any health problems in him. Although she underwent three ultrasounds, she only later discovered that her baby’s organs were developing outside her body, .

  • Englishwoman Kizzi Woodman lost her child.
  • The staff of the private clinic was supposed to claim that her child was completely healthy.
  • It was later discovered that the fetus’s organs were developing outside the body.

Kizzi, from London, England, decided to visit a private clinic in July this year after finding out she was pregnant. In the following days, according to her, the doctors were to assure her that her child was completely healthy. But when she was examined by staff from the government agency National Health Service (NHS), they discovered that her fetus was not actually developing properly. “They immediately noticed that something was wrong. They told me that my baby’s organs were outside his body,” she said.

Since the results were different from the information given to Kizzi at the private clinic, she was very worried. “It was the first time I felt insecure. I trusted them, so when I heard this news, I couldn’t believe it” added the Englishwoman.

She ended up losing the child

A week later, Kizzi learned at the examination that her child had died. She therefore had to start taking medication to induce an abortion, which she described as a traumatic experience. “It was the worst week of my life,” she explained.

The tragedy occurred at a time when people are concerned about the quality of private ultrasounds. The British Society of Radiographers (SoR) has warned that pregnant women are often being misdiagnosed at dubious clinics. Kizzi believes that any doctor who performs such examinations should be trained. However, there is currently no such law in the United Kingdom.

Kizzi says he doesn’t want ultrasounds in private clinics to be seen as a bad choice. “I think they can be really useful if patients want to check if the baby’s heart is beating or how his development is progressing,” she clarified. Still, she urged people to do their research before booking a private exam and look for other options if staff are not sufficiently qualified.
