Rain drips through the holey roof of the old village school in Deutsch Haslau. There are buckets inside to collect the water. It smells musty, the brick walls are exposed, with piles of rubble, candlesticks and dusty furniture in between. Alexander Jakl and Florian Jung do not reveal how expensive the dilapidated building was. The two are 24 years old and actually live in Vienna, but spend their free time as often as possible in the ruins, about an hour’s drive away.
