Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) suspended the sale of the product Power Honey, known as “stimulating honey”in a determination published in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) this Friday (28).
The product from the company Alemed Nutracêutica Indústria e Comércio Ltda, classified as a Liquid Food Supplement, is advertised as a energizing for sexual intercourse that increases libido and raises testosterone levelsin addition to combating and preventing prostate diseases.
The supplement’s Instagram page, which has more than 8 thousand followersthere are several publications that encourage sexual activity through the purchase of “melzinho”.
According to Anvisa, the labeling, brand name and product advertising suggest the ingredients present in the supplement.
The agency also points out that the supplement does, and has quantities of preservatives above the permitted level, such as sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate.
