Austrians defeated in ski jumping in Ruka

Ruka – The World Cup competition on Saturday in Ruka was a ski jumping event to be ticked off for the Austrians. The first round was already held in very changing winds, and after a long wait, Jan Hörl didn’t even make it to the second round. However, this was canceled anyway due to additional snowfall and slow track. The Slovenian Anze Lanisek took the victory ahead of the Japanese Ren Nikaido. Qualification winner Daniel Tschofenig was the best Austrian in twelfth place.
