Brazil thrashes Panama 9-0 in the Women’s Futsal World Cup

The team ended the group stage of the Women’s Futsal World Cup with another great performance.

This Saturday (29), the Brazilian team beat Panama 9-0 and finished the first phase of the competition with 100% success.

Tampa, with three goals, was the highlight of the rout.

A found no difficulty in beating Panama, bottom of Group D.

Throughout the match, the dominance of the team led by coach Wilson Saboia was evident, with the rout being constructed with ease.

Another highlight was pivot Lucileia, who found the net twice against the Panamanians. At 42 years old, she is the oldest player registered in the Futsal World Cup, in addition to being the team’s top scorer in history, with 93 goals.

With a 9-0 defeat against Panama, Brazil finished the first phase as the isolated leader of Group D with nine points.

Next phase

On Tuesday (2), at 9:30 am (Brasília time), the Seleção will face the team in the quarterfinals of the Women’s Futsal World Cup.
