The psolista’s criticism comes after a deputy allied with former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) said that he suffers “political persecution”
The federal deputy (Psol-SP) called the PL (Liberal Party) “Party of Papuda Lotada” during a session of the Human Rights Commission of the Chamber of Deputies on Friday (28.Nov.2025). The statement was in response to the deputy (PL-RJ), who stated that former president Jair Bolsonaro (PL) “I could be eating acarajé” in Bahia, if it weren’t for “political persecution”.
“Democracy is for everyone. Everyone needs to respect democracy. Those who do not respect it will live up to the name of this party: PL, which is the party of Papuda Lotada. It is [Alexandre] it’s Bolsonaro, it’s Augusto Heleno, it’s Anderson Torres. The next one is . , who ran away”said the psychologist.
The speech took place during the discussion on the project to create National Acarajé Day. Erika Hilton agreed that Bolsonaro “could really” be in Bahia, if he had not committed “attack against democracy” and planned to kill President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT), Vice President Geraldo Alckmin (PSB) and STF Minister Alexandre de Moraes.
The deputy also criticized what she called “eternal mimimi” of PL members about the prisons. She stated that there was a contradiction in the stance of the former president’s supporters who, according to her, previously defended the motto “good criminal, dead criminal” and now they are asking for humanitarian treatment for those convicted of the January 8 coup attempt.
“Soon there will have to be a Papuda for the PL. Papuda for the PL, because someone is always there, it’s [sempre] a new crime”these.
