Non-World Drivers Dispute
Only Lando Norris can mathematically guarantee the Formula 1 world title this weekend.
However, the McLaren driver also runs the risk of being overtaken by his teammate, Oscar Piastri, or Max Verstappen.
What does Norris need to do?
Despite all the variables, the title still depends solely on Norris. In simple terms, he needs to finish the weekend with at least two points more than his two rivals to secure the championship — although, in some scenarios, just one additional point could be enough.
Currently, the 26-year-old Briton leads with 390 points, while Piastri has 374 and Verstappen completes third place with 371.
