Wels – St. Pölten is weakening on the way to becoming the winter king in the 2nd football league. The Lower Austrians were unable to get beyond a 1-1 draw at the start of the 15th round at newly promoted Hertha Wels on Friday and have therefore been unable to win five of their last six competitive games. This gives pursuer Admira Wacker the chance to overtake the league leaders, who are currently two points ahead, with a win in the evening game at FAC. Third place Amstetten is also two points behind.
