The leader of Chega reacted to the complaint filed by parliamentary officials against Chega, classifying it as another maneuver by the left motivated by its position in the presidential polls. Ventura also denounced an alleged double standard, saying that he was insulted by a socialist deputy, without any consequences.
After the largest employee union of the Assembly of the Republic stated that it was unaware of the André Ventura said that this was another maneuver by the left against the party.
“This comes because I’m first [nas sondagens] in the presidential elections, I will lead. It’s another way to create confusion and the idea of bad behavior”, said the presidential candidate.
The president of Chega denounces that he was also insulted by a deputy from the Socialist Party, but that, in this regard, nothing was done.
“Yesterday [sexta-feira]a Socialist Party deputy called me a pig. This only works for one side, it doesn’t work for the other side”, he said.
On Friday, a group of parliamentary employees filed a complaint against Chega, but the complaint came from the Public Service Workers Union, which, in statements to SIC, claimed to represent 25 employees.
The union that represents the majority of parliamentary employees, more than 280, said it was unaware of the content and motivations of the complaint.
