Abel Braga will be Internacional’s coach in the final rounds of the Brazilian Championship

Internacional announced this Saturday (29) the return of Abel Braga to technical command for the last rounds of the Brazilian Championship.

This will be the coach’s eighth spell at the club, where he has played 340 official games.

Abel returns after leading the Brazilian team to runner-up in 2020, when the team competed for the title until the final round.

He also has achievements such as the Club World Cup and the 2006 Libertadores, as well as two Gauchões and the 2008 Dubai Cup.

The coach starts work this Sunday, at CT Parque Gigante, alongside the permanent committee. Élio Carravetta also returns to the club to join the group in the final stretch of the tournament.

Dismissal of the Díaz

Internacional announced, this Saturday (29), the dismissal of coach Ramón Díaz and his assistant Emiliano Díaz. The decision came after the team suffered a defeat to , in a match valid for the 36th round of Series A of the Brazilian Championship.

In an official statement, the club from Rio Grande do Sul informed that, in addition to Ramón and Emiliano Díaz, assistants Osmar Ferreyra and Bruno Urribarri, physical trainer Diego Pereira and performance analyst Juan Romanazzi also leave Inter.

The Argentine coach had a short and unsuccessful spell at Inter, leading the team in just 13 matches. Under his command, the team recorded three wins, six draws and seven defeats, resulting in a 38% success rate. Ramón Díaz arrived at the club at the end of September, after the dismissal of Roger Machado, but the work was unable to prevent the team from becoming increasingly worn out.
