The employee associations in Bahia that would have given rise to the transfers to the BRB (Banco de Brasília) informed the Federal Revenue Service of the telephone number and email address of the business group of Augusto Lima, a former partner of Daniel Vorcaro.
The email “contabilidade@grupoterrafirme.com.br” was one of the elements used to reinforce that Lima was responsible for the forged payroll loan portfolios worth R$12.2 billion.
“Asteba and Asseba associations informed the Federal Revenue, as their contact email, the email address ‘contabilidade@grupoterrafirme.com.br’, which is the same email address as the company Terra Firme da Bahia Ltda […]exclusively owned by Augusto Lima. Asseba and Terra Firme still share the same contact telephone number, before the Federal Revenue Service”, says the PF representation.
The company Terra Firme, from Lima, is chaired by his wife, the former federal deputy and former minister of Jair Bolsonaro (PL) Flávia Peres. The NGO says that, despite the name, “the social purpose and actions of the group and the institute are totally different.”
Lawyer Pedro Ivo Velloso states that “the investigation will demonstrate the absolute absence of a link between Augusto Lima and the operations subject to the investigation.” The defense adds that the businessman had already left Master, has an unblemished record and has always acted legally, transparently and responsibly.
Asteba (Association of Technical-Administrative and Related Servants of the State of Bahia) and Asseba (Association of Health and Related Servants of the Direct Administration of the State of Bahia) were also the target of search and seizure during Operation Zero Compliance, which on the 18th.
The Federal Public Ministry identified that the discounts made on the state’s paychecks refer to low-value monthly fees and associative services and could never have generated R$6.7 billion in payroll loan portfolios (in addition to R$5.5 billion in premiums, the value that the portfolio was supposedly worth, plus a bonus).
