Bolsonaristas shared the image on the networks; the former president’s defense filed another appeal against the “coup” conviction
A billboard with the phrase “Free” was installed in Criciúma (SC). The deputy (PL-SC) published the image on social media and said that the piece was placed by supporters of the former president, imprisoned at the PF Superintendence (Federal Police), in Brasília, where he is serving a sentence for attempting a coup d’état.
“A more beautiful photo of the billboard in Criciúma/SC. Free Bolsonaro! FREE BOLSONARO!”wrote Zanatta, in a post on X this Sunday (30.nov.2025).
Senator Flávio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) also shared the image. Said to be “working, without fuss” and asked followers to save and republish the content: “FREE BOLSONARO”.

Appeal against conviction
The former president’s defense presented, on Friday (Nov 28), another appeal against the conviction for leading a coup d’état plan.
Lawyers claim that the final decision declared on Tuesday (Nov 25) was a “judicial error” and ask that the vote of Minister Luiz Fux, who differed from the majority, prevail.
In the infringing embargoes, the defense argues that Minister Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF (Supreme Federal Court), could not have recognized the appeals presented by the defendants as delaying even before analyzing them. On Tuesday (Nov 25), Moraes considered that the new presentations had only the objective of delaying the process and declared the final decision. The 1st Panel confirmed the decision.
Infringement embargoes are used to try to modify the sentence of convicts. According to the STF’s understanding, they are only accepted when there are up to 2 votes differing from the rapporteur. In Bolsonaro’s case, only Fux voted to acquit 6 of the defendants.
