Black Friday 2025: sales increase by 28.5% on Friday, according to Itaú

The promotions of Black Friday de 2025 boosted the sales this Friday (28), which grew 28.5% in comparison with the commercial date of 2024, according to data from Itaú Unibanco.

Analyzing the payment methods, the Pix saw an increase of 37.5% in its use during negotiations this Friday.

In the purchasing segments, emphasis on the growth of 32.4% in supermarkets, followed by cell phones, which sold 23.9% more, and the pharmacies, with an expansion of 22.4% in the annual comparison.

“Black Friday concentrates consumer confidence and retail operational capacity”, says Rodrigo Bizzotto, superintendent of Network Products, at Itaú Unibanco.

The executive celebrated this year’s operation, in which Itaú’s solutions presented 100% systemic availability, without failures, outages or unavailability on the network, according to the company.

The survey covers all transactions processed in the 24 hours of November 28th through means offered by the bank, and compares the data to those recorded in the same period as Black Friday 2024, which took place on November 29th last year.
