Criticism was leveled at Dara Rolins, both Czechs and Slovaks reacted: The singing diva said it out loud!

Dara Rollins started out as a small star in the 80s with the hit Zvonky štice alongside Karel Gott. Over time, she turned into a stylish icon of the new era, and her songs entertain entire generations to this day. Her daughter Laura, better known as Lola, also inherited her talent, but according to her own words, she is not going to follow in her famous mother’s footsteps.

During Dara’s spectacular concert in Slovakia, Lola made an exception and went on stage with her, where they sang together the new song “Jak chcem ja”. In a short time, Rolins also performed at the awards ceremony in the Czech Nightingale singers’ popularity poll and asked her daughter if they would sing together again. Lola agreed, but their performance was not a great success among the Czech public.

Negative comments started pouring in under the post from their performance on the social network. “Shame on dinner! You thought she was singing at the school party, didn’t you?” wrote the critical words of Martina. “This was terrible! Disgrace of the evening,” Lena added.

But it wasn’t just about the negatives. The singer also received praise. “Beautiful and talented,” said Ivana. A comment by former member of the National People’s Republic of the Slovak Republic, Romana Tabakova, also appeared under the post. “Great Dara,” she bequeathed to her. “Great. Lightening up the evening. Great performance,” added Klára. “That daughter sings beautifully. And she is beautiful,” wrote to the address of Lola Tereza. You can read more about it.

Now, Dara addressed her fans on the social network. The singer thanked for the beautiful reactions to her new album, concerts and Lola. She also responded to critical comments. “Last but not least, to Slávik! And to be completely precise, my words belong to YOU, for whom I make my music. Not to fans of other performers or music genres. I understand and respect that I am not for everyone. And musical variety shows are variety shows precisely because they offer everything from folk to rock, musicals, pop… Simply EVERYTHING“, she let herself be heard.

Negative comments are not new to her. “I’ve actually gotten used to similar outbursts over the years and I know that bad comments are just a grain of sand in the avalanche of positive reactions I receive. But every time I read something like this, I think how many people they made happy, made them laugh, danced, reacted from worries and sadness. Those who judge always criticize everything. What good and positive things did THEY bring to the world. Except for manure, which no one asked for,” Dara wrote the sharp words.

She does what fulfills her. “I am a singer, I am a mother, I am a musician, I am an author, a dancer, I am a star, I am a clown, I am a poet, a trendsetter, a diva, an actress, a showbiz kid, a legend. I am everything and nothing, but above all I am what I WANT, where I want, with whom I want. And that’s exactly how – like – like – like that I plan to live – live – live – continue to live,” she finally referred to the text of her new song Jak chlemen ja.
