What time does the Flamengo flight arrive?

From Tom Jobim International Airport, on Governador Island, after expected arrival around 12pm (Brasília time)the champions will head directly to Rua Primeiro de Março, in the center of Rio, where an electric trio will depart. The procession will travel around 850 meters, ending at Avenida Presidente Antônio Carlos. City Hall expects 500,000 fans to be part of the party.

The starting point of the parade will be on Rua Primeiro de Março, close to Rua Buenos Aires. The trio will advance to the Rua Araújo Porto Alegre region. To liven up the party, three sound towers will be placed between Avenida Nilo Peçanha and Avenida Almirante Barroso, where there will be a stop for the players to greet the fans.

City Hall reported that the traffic blockages in the Center began at 5am, and other surrounding roads will also be closed to facilitate public circulation and the passage of the trio with the athletes.

There will be 21 inspection points with metal detectors, following a model similar to that used on New Year’s Eve in Copacabana. Entry with glass bottles is prohibited in the celebration area.

The general planning was agreed at a meeting at the Operations and Resilience Center (COR), with representatives from municipal bodies, security forces and Flamengo leaders.

The Municipal Department of Transport (SMTR) advises fans to prioritize the subway to reach the party location.
