The announced this Saturday the affiliation and launch of the pre-candidacy for Rio Grande do Sul of the former federal deputy. The formalization will take place at an event on December 9th, in Porto Alegre (RS).
In a statement on social media, the party stated that the affiliation strengthens the party’s project for structural changes for Brazil and for a more just and fraternal world.
Manuela shared the announcement talking about her age, 44, and saying that contrary to common sense, the phase made her dreams bolder.
“I cannot accept that this reality of inequality is the final destiny of humanity. I feel that I am part of this centuries-old current that pushes history towards a more just world. That is why I decided to join PSOL.”
she defended the diversity and unity of the left.
“The Brazilian left is diverse — and this diversity is a strength. The challenge is to combine it with the necessary unity in the face of fascism. From the PSOL, I will be alongside everyone who faces the ultra-right and defends our people and our country.”
In an interview with Sheet, attributing part of this to the success of the right on social media. Last year, she left PC do B, a party she had been a member of for 25 years, citing dissatisfaction with the party’s direction.
