Flamengo fans took to the streets of downtown Rio de Janeiro, this Sunday (30), to celebrate winning their fourth Libertadores championship. During the celebrations, Itatiaia caught an unusual scene. Flamengo fans took a pig’s head to provoke Palmeiras.
In a provocative tone, some fans present at the party location named the pig’s head as “Andreas”, in reference to the Palmeiras player who has defended the club in the past.
Party on the streets of Rio
Rio City Hall prepared a special operational scheme for the celebration of Rio fans, for the fourth Copa Libertadores title. Around 500,000 people are expected to attend the celebrations that last this Sunday.
Rua Primeiro de Março and Avenida Presidente Antônio Carlos, in the city center, will be closed to welcome the champions of America, who will parade in an electric trio over an 850 meter route.
Rio City Hall prepared a special operational scheme for the title celebration. Several streets will be closed from 5am this Sunday. The players will parade in an electric trio on a route between Rua Primeiro de Março and Avenida Presidente Antônio Carlos.
The red-black delegation will head to the location immediately after disembarking at Tom Jobim International Airport, on Governador Island.
