Another Czech citizen fell in the fighting in Ukraine. This follows from the funeral notice published on its website by the funeral service operating in the city of Odry in the Moravian-Silesian region. According to the announcement, it was a Czech who lived in Ukraine. The server Novinky.cz drew attention to his death, reports TASR in Prague.

“He fell in the fight for the freedom of Ukraine as a Czech citizen who lived there. Honor to him, he will be buried in Ukraine as a war hero with all honors,” his family said in a statement of condolence, according to which the 46-year-old man died on November 17.

The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) has not yet provided information on the case. “The Ukrainian side has not officially confirmed the death of our citizen, the embassy is in contact with the representatives of the army,” the Novinky.cz server quoted Mariana Wernerová, head of the department of communication with the media at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Within a few days, this is the second report regarding the death of a Czech citizen in the fighting on the Ukrainian front. Last week on Thursday, the Secondary Art and Industrial School in Uherský Hradiště, where he studied in the past, reported the death of a 27-year-old man near Iziume. Several Czechs have already died in Ukraine fighting against Russia. One of them in June near Kharkiv, another in February 2024 near Avdijivka or another in March 2023 near Bakhmut.
