4-year contract with the North American brand begins in 2026, with the debut of the uniforms in the 1st match of the Minas Gerais championship
O made official on Sunday (November 30, 2025) its contract with as your new sporting equipment supplier for the next 4 years. The debut of the new uniforms will take place in the first match of the 2026 Campeonato Mineiro, when Atlético will face Betim on January 11th, at Arena MRV, in Belo Horizonte.
The unprecedented partnership marks the first time that the North American company has sponsored a football club in Minas Gerais. The agreement includes the supply of uniforms for all sectors of the club, including collections for training, warm-ups and travel.
Atlético-MG maintains a contract with since December 2021, a contract that ends at the end of this year. For the transition between brands, the club and Nike established that the under-20 team that will compete in the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior will use temporary uniforms from the new supplier.
These provisional uniforms will be exclusively used on the field during the São Paulo competition and will not be sold, according to information released by the Minas Gerais club.
Fisia (official Nike distributor in Brazil) will participate in the commercial operation. According to a statement from Atlético-MG, the club and the brand plan to develop products, campaigns and creative experiences to strengthen the connection with fans, both inside and outside the stadiums.
To celebrate the beginning of the partnership, Atlético-MG and Nike produced a promotional film that shows a 15-meter truck traveling through the streets of Belo Horizonte. Production passes through tourist attractions in the capital of Minas Gerais.
The club did not disclose the value of the contract with Nike, nor details about the design of the new uniforms that will be used next season.
