Rotterdam – Austria’s national women’s handball team also won its second World Cup preliminary round game in Rotterdam on Sunday. The ÖHB team followed up Friday’s 29:20 win against Egypt in Group E with a 27:23 (12:12), meaning they are firmly in the main round and will definitely take at least two points with them. Before this second phase of the tournament, there will be another game in Rotterdam on Tuesday (8.30 p.m.) against the team of the favored World Cup co-hosts Netherlands.
