Almeida describes the Debod Temple demonstration as “an annoying success”
The mayor of Madrid, José Luis Martínez-Almeida, has described as “an annoying success” the demonstration at the Temple of Debod in which he participated together with the president of his party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, and the president of the Community and the Madrid PP, Isabel Díaz Ayuso. He has asked Pedro Sánchez to present a question of confidence.
“Perhaps the one who should present a question of trust is Pedro Sánchez, because whoever intends to govern in a parliamentary democracy without the support of Parliament is neither a democrat nor does he believe in democracy,” he said from the Plaza de España mobility node.
Almeida is convinced that Pedro Sánchez “is afraid of Parliament and the Spaniards and that is why he does not present a question of confidence, because he knows that he will lose it. And that is why he does not call elections, because he knows that he will lose them.”
“Any other President of the Government in the situation of corruption, lack of parliamentary support and lack of budgets would have already called elections. Pedro Sánchez is an anomaly, he is a democratic exception,” he stressed, to remind us that “here it is about improving people’s lives and not improving one’s own life, which is what Pedro Sánchez does in Moncloa.” (EP)
