Christmas time has something magical in it. At least that’s how the singer and actress perceives it Nela Pociskováwho is just coming out with a new Christmas song I just wish that. Its creation was spontaneous, quick and, as she admitted, almost “at the last moment”. However, the song brings even more emotion. “I’ve had a Christmas song in my head for a long time. I’ve wanted it for years, but other obligations always came up. But this time it finally came out — and I’m very happy about it,” explains Nela.
The composition was created during the period when together with the producer Max Miklos she also worked on the forthcoming album. It was the combination of Christmas time and intensive work on new projects that created ideal conditions for – I just wish – she got the form that Nela felt for a long time.
A song that is not about glitter, but about the most important thing
The text of the song was written by Nela together with Alexandra Okálova, with whom they decided to work on the Christmas theme from a broader perspective. “We didn’t just want a classic Christmas song about lights. We wanted it to show the message of today – that it’s important to have someone by your side and that no one should be alone during the holidays.” says the singer.
Michael Jackson and his clips, which carry messages about love and responsibility towards the world, were also an inspiration. The result is an emotional ballad that warms you, stops you in a hurry and reminds you of what is really important at Christmas.
A video clip like a winter fairy tale: a horse, a white dress and an atmosphere that caresses the soul
Through the news, Nela fulfilled another dream. In the clip, she appears on a horse, in a beautiful white dress that looks like a fairy tale. “I love horses and always wanted to have a music video on a horse. It was my little wish and now it has come true.” he says. The video clip was first filmed in Miloslavov and then in the Austrian Schloss Hof, which enhanced the magical atmosphere with its Christmas decorations. Nela entrusted the production of the video to Pierre Lexis, Janka Šlebodová took care of the production. Despite the fact that it was filmed on the coldest day of the year, the result is worth it. “I froze to the bone, I thought I wouldn’t survive, but the image and the energy were worth it,” adds Nela with a laugh.
The video clip seems calm, gentle and exactly as she imagined it: “We wanted to caress the soul, stop and bring a piece of the Christmas atmosphere into everyday life,”she is a singer.
Christmas through the eyes of Nela: a time of love, slowing down and childish joy
Nela admits that Christmas is the most beautiful holiday of the year for her – despite the hectic period that often precedes it. “Ever since I’ve had kids, I’ve seen the pure joy in their eyes as we decorate, bake and unwrap presents. They look forward to this time of year all year — and I do.”
In their family, Christmas is in the spirit of traditions: they bake gingerbread, poppy seeds, vanilla rolls, clean “everything” and go to church on Christmas Day. However, according to her, the most important thing remains the same – to be together. The magical and relaxing time at Nela’s home is enhanced by the Christmas songs that sound all day long. This year, however, one moment will be special for Nela: “If my own song is played between them, it honestly just gets me. It’s going to be the best feeling in the world.” confesses the singer, at the same time sending a beautiful wish to fans and all people of good will: “I wish you to be able to stop, feel the moment of Christmas and not rush somewhere. I wish you peace — to spend this holiday with the people you love.”
