President Zhaparov consolidates power in Kyrgyzstan through parliamentary elections

Bishkek – With the parliamentary elections in the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan, President Sadyr Zhaparov has consolidated his power in the country. The declining influence of the People’s Assembly was reflected in the relatively low voter interest. 4.3 million Kyrgyz people were called upon to cast their votes.
