A terrorist cell of the neo-Nazi and paramilitary group “The Base”, which calls for violent acts to cause chaos and overthrow regimes in democratic societies, has been dismantled in Spain, the Spanish police announced today.

The three detainees are accused of “belong to a terrorist organization and capture, indoctrination and training for terrorist purposes”, as well as illegal possession of weapons.
According to , the detainees intensified their radical rhetoric in recent months and encouraged violent actionseven going so far as to openly declare that they were prepared to carry out targeted attacks with the aim of overthrow western democratic institutions.
In addition to the arrests, the police seized nine weapons, ammunition, “more than a score of bladed weapons”, a “complete military tactical equipment used in training activities”, “material and documentation of an ‘accelerationist’ and supremacist nature”, propaganda from the organization ‘The Base’, “neo-nazi material” and “documentation glorifying other terrorist organizations.”
