The name of this cake is not accidental. Each bite takes you to heaven, it's delicious

This is the perfect dessert for anyone who likes a combination of different flavors. Heavenly Cake is a combination of mascarpone, cocoa, chocolate, cream and sour cherries. It’s phenomenal, one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. I will definitely prepare it for the holidays.

Cake:

  • 350 g of wheat flour,
  • 250 g of soft butter,
  • 200 g of sugar,
  • 100 ml of milk,
  • 4 eggs,
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder,
  • 2 tablespoons of baking powder,
  • 300 g of pitted cherries, fresh, frozen or compote.

Cream:

  • 500 ml of cream 36%,
  • 250 g mascarpone,
  • 3 tablespoons of powdered sugar,
  • 3 teaspoons of gelatin,
  • 50 ml of cold water.

Icing:

  • 100 g of dark chocolate,
  • 50 g butter.

Prepare the dough. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add the eggs, stirring constantly.

In a separate bowl, mix flour and baking powder. Add them alternately with the milk to the butter mixture, stirring briefly.

Divide the dough into two parts. Add cocoa to one of them and mix.

Line a 25×35 cm baking tray with baking paper. Pour the light batter into it and press the cherries into it. Then pour in the dark dough. Stick a stick or spoon into different parts of the cake to create waves.

Put the cake in the oven preheated to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 35-45 minutes, until the stick is dry.

Prepare the cream. Pour gelatin with water and set aside to swell. Melt it in the microwave without boiling and set aside to cool.

Place the cream and mascarpone in the mixer bowl. Beat until stiff, adding powdered sugar at the end.

Add 2 tablespoons of whipped cream to the slightly cooled gelatin, mix and pour into the rest of the cream. Blend on low speed. Spread the prepared cream evenly onto the cooled cake and put it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

Prepare the icing. Melt the chocolate with butter in a water bath, stirring until smooth. Cool slightly.

Spread the icing on top of the cake using a spoon or a string bag with the corner cut off.

Place the heavenly cake in the fridge for at least 3-4 hours. Serve cold.
