The investigator of the District Directorate of the Police Force in Prešov is conducting a criminal prosecution in the matter of the crime of violation of domestic freedom committed in conjunction with the crime of theft, which occurred between Friday (November 28) and Sunday (November 30) in one of the family homes in Prešov. Preliminary damage amounts to more than 93,000 euros. TASR was informed about this by the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Prešov, Jana Ligdayová.

“The hitherto unknown offender entered the fenced and locked property without authorization, approached the front, side and back doors, which he damaged and sprayed with paint. Then he entered the house through a small window, which he also damaged. He searched the rooms and took away many valuable things. It was jewelry, such as necklaces, watches, rings, pendants, chains, bracelets and earrings. He also found cash in several places in the house, which he took. The owner suffered damage due to theft, as well as damage to the house’s equipment. It was preliminarily calculated at approximately 93,100 euros,” said Ligday. As she added, according to the law, the perpetrator faces up to five years in prison for this illegal action.
