The digital influencer, accused of exploiting and exposing minors on social media, said, during the evidentiary hearing, that he never recorded videos of teenagers with pornographic or sexual scenes.

“We only recorded our routine with the peripheral culture, which is where I come from. Between Recife and João Pessoa, the rhythm most heard today, produced here and throughout Brazil, is the brega funk rhythm. Hytalo and her husband, Israel Nata Vicente, are investigated by the (Public Ministry of Paraíba) and the (Public Ministry of Labor) on suspicion of sexual abuse and human trafficking.

The case gained notoriety after publication by youtuber Felca de um, published in August, and which has accumulated 51.2 million views.

“I even feel a little embarrassed for having done so much for these children, so much for these teenagers who are placed here in the files and having to respond, even though it is mandatory to be responding here, but it hurts me, it hurts me a lot”said the influencer.

“I will never be free from what they did to my image. Wherever I go now, I am seen as a pedophile, as an abuser, as a perverted person”he declared.

Hytalo became known by promoting reality shows involving minors on social media. Many of the criticisms of his content are related to the sexual content present in the publications, with relationships between young people and dance scenes and clothes considered sexualized.

According to the influencer, no children under 12 lived with them in the house in a gated community in the metropolitan region of João Pessoa. In his statement, he stated that 4 teenagers lived there, but were accompanied by their parents. “The parents were always part of it, it was a two-way upbringing. They spent most of their time with me, but they went to see their parents too”he stated.

Relationship with Kamylinha Silva

Felca’s video mentions Kamylinha Silva, a teenager who has appeared in the influencer’s videos since she was 12 years old. Asked about the nature of their relationship, Hytalo said it was about “a father-daughter relationship”. He stated: “Kamyla and I met at very difficult times in both of our lives. We met while I was teaching at Praça de Cajazeiras, a bregafunk rhythm too”.

Israel, Hytalo’s husband, stated that their life in the house was “familiar” and that Kamyla, Hytalo and the other teenagers, “they loved dancing”. Hytalo, according to him, taught. “They saw a way to get out of that scarcity, out of that life that had no expectation of leaving Paraíba, of leaving the backlands, of being someone and helping their family”he stated.

Hytalo confirmed that he had paid for the silicone implant surgery on the teenager’s breasts, carried out when she was 16 years old, but declared that she was emancipated and signed the authorization for the medical procedure with his own hand. According to the “Fantastic”she, who is now 18 years old, said in her statement that she had a father-daughter relationship with Hytalo and denied feeling exploited.

Pay and scope

The influencer also denied receiving money from the social networks where the teenagers’ videos were shown and declared at the hearing that his income, which, according to him, varied from R$400,000 to R$600,000, was obtained through advertising.

Asked if the teenagers were paid, Hytalo stated that their parents were, but “not out of obligation, not out of combined”but because he “I felt entitled to do it.” this gesture.

Hytalo said the videos had 20,000 to 30,000 comments and 1.2 million to 1.7 million likes. His Instagram stories had 4 to 5 million simultaneous viewers.

Relationships between teenagers

He denied that he encouraged minors to have romantic or sexual relationships. “I never influenced anyone to even have an emotional relationship. And what I filmed of the relationships of people they knew was because I preferred it to be accompanied by me and my mother rather than what they did secretly”he declared.

Asked about the short shorts and miniskirts worn by the girls, the influencer said that those are clothes that they wear. “they got used to using it”.

Defense of Hytalo and Israel

Sean Kompier Abib, the couple’s lawyer, was interviewed by “Fantastic”. He stated that the influencer had been monitored by the Public Prosecutor’s Office for 5 years and that there had never been any type of indication of an obscene or pornographic act by the authorities.

“What the defense cannot understand is that what was never recognized as a crime, overnight became treated as a crime”he stated.

Adultization

Felca’s video had legislative repercussions. In September, the president (PT) passed the law, which protects children and adolescents from online adultization.

The text, by Congress, creates a digital ECA (Child and Adolescent Statute), with measures to protect children and adolescents in digital environments, including parental control tools, prohibition of loot boxes (reward boxes) and abuse reporting channels.
