Vienna – After the killing of a man on Saturday evening in an apartment in Vienna-Leopoldstadt, the 56-year-old suspect was remanded in custody on Tuesday. The victim suffered multiple stab wounds to the back. The 56-year-old called the emergency number, but any help came too late for the injured man. Court spokeswoman Christina Salzborn announced that the pre-trial detention was imposed because of the risk of committing a crime. The woman who was present at the time of the crime was released.
