The governor of , (PL), said this Monday (1st) that the PF report that mapped activities of the Comando Vermelho in South America is “a sad legacy” given the many good things that Rio has to export.
He spoke about the culture and honesty of the people of Rio de Janeiro, but made a point of avoiding a specific subject: football.
A Flamenguist, Castro was in São Paulo, at an event run by the Tarcísio de Freitas government, and said it was “better not to talk about football here for the [Guilherme] Don’t be upset.”
Two days earlier, after all, Flamengo had become one by beating Palmeiras 1-0 in Lima, Peru. Secretary Derrite, who left office this Monday, is from Palmeiras.
“Although Tarcísio is happy”, added Castro in reference to the governor of São Paulo, a red and black fan.
Castro was one of those honored by the Tarcísio administration at the ceremony held by the 1st Tobias de Aguiar Riot Police Battalion, in São Paulo. The event took place at Rota’s headquarters, in the city center.
