OneBean, an inclusive café managed by , in Albufeira, and recognized for its employability model for people with intellectual disabilities, received a new boost with the sponsorship of chef Ricardo Luz, from the Authentic restaurant, in Almancil. In collaboration with the team, the chef developed an exclusive recipe – the “Authentic” biscuits – now available to the public and winning over those who visit the space.

Café OneBean is a social project that promotes daily professional and social skills training for people with intellectual disabilities, working beyond the restaurant sector. With the direct participation of Ricardo Luz – one of the rising figures of Algarve gastronomy – the project gains visibility, technical rigor and creative ambition. The official presentation of the “Authentic” cookies took place this week, at an event open to the community, at the OneBean space itself, in Albufeira.

“This project has everything that moves me: authenticity, connection to the territory and the certainty that cuisine must create a future. Working with the OneBean team is inspiring. There is talent, desire and dedication that deserves to be seen and valued”, says Ricardo Luz, chef at the Authentic restaurant.

The partnership is being developed in stages, including practical training, skills development, improvement of production methods and continuous monitoring of the team. The “Authentic” biscuits, thin and crunchy, with a marked gustatory identity, represent the first visible result of work that aims to raise the quality of the gastronomic offer and reinforce the professional integration of the café’s employees.

“What we are building with OneBean shows how gastronomy can open real doors to employability. The training is demanding, but the results are extraordinary. People exceed expectations every day”, concludes the chef.

OneBean will continue to develop new products and initiatives in collaboration with Ricardo Luz, reinforcing the commitment to unite restoration, creativity and socio-professional integration in the Algarve. The project remains open to visits, partnerships and the involvement of all who believe in a more inclusive future in the gastronomic sector.
