Grêmio terminated, this Monday (01/12), the contract with the bookmaker AlfaBet, master sponsor, which was valid until December 2027. In these last two games of the Brasileirão, the bookmaker EnergiaBet will print the Tricolor’s shirt. The information was initially released by journalist Fabíola Thiele, from the Portal do Gremista page.
EnergiaBet at Grêmio: how much will the company pay?
The break with Alfa was due to lack of payment in recent months. Per year, the company had committed to paying R$50 million. In other words, per month, Tricolor would have to receive a little more than R$4 million, which did not happen in September, October and November.
The club was looking for new possibilities and already had new companies interested in taking Alfa’s position on the shirt, but for a lower amount than the R$50 million per year stipulated in the contract announced in February this year.
After internal evaluations by the board, the club opted to change sponsors. However, the final values were not disclosed.
